Sunday Highlight: March 9, 2025
Today in our missions prayer time, let’s go to Utah. We want to pray for Paul and Abbey Campbell, our missionaries there.
Paul was quite happy serving as youth pastor in Virginia Beach, Virginia. But God called them to plant a new church in Logan, Utah. So they moved there with their four children.
Now they’re living in Logan, situated in a wide valley surrounded by mountains and hills, about 80 miles north of Salt Lake City. It’s a beautiful place, but most of the 150,000 people who live in the valley are lost. Less than 1 percent of the people are evangelical Christians.
Most people here are Mormon who have never heard the authentic gospel, only a distorted version of it. But when they visit Gospel Peace Church which Paul and Abbey planted, they hear Paul preach the authentic gospel.
One couple visited the church the first Sunday it was opened. They asked questions about what Paul preached. He answered from the Bible. A year later, the man and his wife professed faith in Christ and were baptized.
Our church is supporting Paul and Abbey in Utah through our Cooperative Program giving.
Let’s pray for them now.
