Sunday Highlight: December 6, 2026
Joe and Laura Pantaleo felt called to missions from a young age, but each time they tried to go, the timing wasn’t right. Instead, they served internationals and refugees in their Virginia community, home to one of the largest Central Asian populations in the United States.
“I was able to connect with women and build friendships,” Laura said. “Every week Joe and I went to the home of one family and shared the entirety of the Gospel.”
As a youth minister, Joe led students on short-term mission trips. Their children watched and developed hearts for missions. When each son asked if the family could become missionaries, Joe and Laura knew the time had come.
Appointed by the International Mission Board, the Pantaleos serve in Malta. They minister to students and young families in a culture where religious beliefs often focus on superstition and ceremony rather than a true relationship with Jesus.
Pray for the Pantaleo family as they build relationships, share the Gospel, and point others to genuine faith in Christ.
