Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention is committed to helping Hawaii Pacific Baptist Churches in their efforts to reduce the risk of sexual abuse within the church. At the 2019 HPBC Annual Meeting, messengers voted to challenge all Hawaii Pacific Baptist Churches to adopt the Caring Well Challenge, a 12-month, eight-step process of listening, learning, assessing, and launching needed initiatives to ensure every church is safe for survivors and safe from abuse.
HPBC has also partnered with MinistrySafe, a leader in sexual abuse prevention, to provide low-cost training and resources to empower church leaders to help keep those at church safe from abuse. Use the code HPBC2023 for $100 off your first year’s annual MinistrySafe Membership.
Where instances of sexual abuse do occur, we urge those with the knowledge to recognize and report sexual abuse to the appropriate authorities in accordance with state law.
