Sunday Highlight: August 17, 2025

In our prayer time today, let’s move to the West Coast!

That’s where we can meet Jacob and Jessica Dahl, two of our missionaries our church supports through our Cooperative Program giving. They serve in partnership with our North American Mission Board, which is helping plant new churches across the Pacific Northwest.

Jacob and Jessica serve in Seattle, Washington, the least Christian city in the nation. Even the local newspaper has reported that sad statistic. Hundreds of new Bible-believing churches are needed to reach Metro Seattle’s more than three million people.

University students are probably one of the more difficult groups to reach. But that’s the young, diverse and unchurched group Jacob and Jessica are reaching.

They have planted a branch of Resonate Church to reach students attending the University of Washington in north Seattle. Sundays, they meet on the campus but also established community groups to widen their outreach.

One group gathered in a dormitory lounge on the campus. That’s how they met a student named Katelyn. She learned about the Christian faith, accepted Christ as Savior and was baptized.

Let’s pray now for Jacob and Jessica as they share Christ with people who desperately need Him.
