Sunday Highlight: January 28, 2024
Today, let’s pray for one of our church’s missionary couples serving just outside the Windy City of Chicago, Illinois. John and Tiffany Jou started One Six Eight Community Church to reach a multi-ethnic community. Many people here have spiritual questions, but don’t yet know that Jesus is the answer.
John and Tiffany planted the new church in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. The church gets to know people by helping meet community needs. One project was helping a school for the autistic reopen after the pandemic. Work included everything from hanging doors to organizing classrooms and painting.
The church longs to see its community flourish. John teaches the congregation to get involved in the lives of their neighbors, invite them into their daily lives and share the love of Jesus along the way.
One Six Eight Community Church is also committed to multiplying its ministry. From day one, John and Tiffany have been training another couple to go out and plant a church.
As our church gives through the Cooperative Program, we are helping John and Tiffany grow their new church. Let’s pray that the Lord will give them wisdom as they plant the gospel in suburban Chicago.
