Parking at the Japanese Cultural Center is $8 with no in&out privileges. Please carpool if you can.

The Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention Annual Meeting will be at the Generations Ballroom of the Japanese Cultural Center on Thursday evening and all day Friday, November 2-3, 2023.

The HPBC Annual Meeting will include musical worship, an introduction of new HPBC churches and pastors, the installation of our new HPBC executive director-treasurer, reports from staff and the executive board, convention business, panel discussions, prayer, Scripture reaching, and messages.

The Japanese Cultural Center is located at 2454 S. Beretania Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96826

The basic schedule:
Thursday, November 2, 2023, evening session
5pm – Registration and refreshments
6pm – Evening  Session
Musical worship, the seating of messengers, the seating of new churches, welcoming new pastors, installation of our executive director-treasurer, Craig Webb, panel discussion, and president’s message.
8:20pm – Refreshments and fellowship

Friday, November 3, 2023, morning sessions
8:15am – 11:30am with a break in between
Greetings from Southern Baptist Agencies, HPBC staff report, Hawaii Baptist Academy and Hawaii Baptist Foundation updates, and panel discussion.
12pm – Disaster Relief Luncheon – Be updated on relief efforts in Maui and Guam. Volunteers, Maui and Guam pastors and church leaders will be honored. Everyone is welcome to attend by reservation. The Disaster Relief Luncheon is sponsored by the Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention and Send Relief.

Friday, November 3, 2023, afternoon business session, 2 pm
Credentials & Resolutions Committee report/recommendations; Convention Committee for Arrangements and Order of Business report/recommendations; Executive Board report/recommendations; Committee on Committees & Board Nominations report/recommendations; Election and introduction of new HPBC Executive Board officers.

Friday, November 3, 2023, evening session
6pm – Registration, refreshments, and fellowship
6:30pm – Evening Session including musical worship, acknowledgment of outgoing officers, panel discussion, and annual meeting message from our executive director-treasurer, Craig Webb.


ADDITIONAL EVENTS DURING NOVEMBER 1-4, 2023

  • Pastor and Wife Appreciation Dinner. Wednesday, November 1, 2023. 5:30pm-8pm. Ala Moana Hotel. Open to Hawaii Pacific Baptist lead pastors and their wives. Register HERE.
  • Women’s Leadership Breakfast. Thursday, November 2, 2023. 8-10am. Ala Moana Hotel. Open to women in leadership, pastor’s wives, and church staff. Register HERE.

We have partnered with Ala Moana Hotel to get special rates until October 1, 2023. Room requests after this date will be confirmed based on space availability, and if available will be extended at the group rate.

$189/night + tax and fees for Kona Tower (single/double, Queen bed)
$219/night + tax and fees for Waikiki Tower (single/double, 2 Doubles or King Bed)
$269/night + tax and fees for Waikiki Tower (triple rate)
(Room cancellations within 72 hours of arrival will be assessed a one night room and tax penalty.)
Children 17 years and under no additional charge.

Self parking $35/day or valet parking $45/day.
