This is an update released on April 19, 2024, with the hope of reminding ourselves that the recovery from the devastating fires on Maui on August 8, 2023, will take great effort over many years.

From September to December 2023, over 400 SBC Disaster Relief Volunteers from 20 states helped Lahaina residents sort through their property.

Thank you to Southern Baptist state conventions, Send Relief, and the many churches and individuals who sent funds to assist in the relief efforts.
