Sunday Highlight: July 6 , 2025

When we have a prayer time like today, we usually pray for our missionaries who are going to other lands or cities to share Christ.

Today is different. We’re going to pray for a Chinese couple we’ll call John and Zoe.

In China they both had good jobs and were living well. But God had other plans. He called them to Virginia in 2023 to share Christ with the many Chinese who have settled near Fredericksburg. Our church is helping support them through our Cooperative Program giving.

John is a good cook, so he and Zoe often invite Chinese people to their home for some real Chinese food like they had back home.

Already their weekly gatherings draw more than 20 Chinese. So far, none of these have prayed to receive Christ.

That’s why we want to pray for John and Zoe today. We want to pray for wisdom and strength for this committed couple as they share their faith. Let’s pray that many will respond to the gospel! Many people come to America chasing a dream. But John and Zoe were called here by God to share Jesus.
