Sunday Highlight: June 22, 2025
Let’s go to Florida today — at least for our missions prayer time!
We’re going to pray for two of our North American missionaries — Josh and Beth Glymph. Our church supports them through our Cooperative Program giving as we partner with other Southern Baptists through our North American Mission Board.
Josh was serving at Fruit Cove Baptist Church in Jacksonville when God called him to plant a new church. So, with Fruit Cove’s backing, he and Beth moved to the Ortega area of Jacksonville, which lies along the St. John River.
They planted Refuge Church in Ortega because there was a shortage of Bible-believing churches. Known for being wealthy, the area also includes hipsters, military families and those low in socioeconomic ranking.
Along with Sunday services and other outreach efforts, Josh and Beth minister to families with adopted and foster children. That’s because they adopted three of their five children. Their “Seek Refuge” ministry provides diapers, car seats and other helps to fostering and adoptive families.
As we pray now for Josh and Beth, remember they are two of the more than 6,000 missionaries our church supports across North America through the Cooperative Program.
