Sunday Highlight: February 2, 2025

Today let’s pray for two of our home missionaries who have planted a new church near Richmond, VA.

Fred and Casey Weymouth are doing much more than that. Years ago they started a ministry to reach those with addiction and related problems. They offered a permanent “fix” that centered on Jesus Christ: The Fix Ministry.

More recently they felt led to plant a new church that would disciple converts. They got help and training from our North American Mission Board which oversees thousands of Southern Baptist church planting ministries across North America. Our church supports all of them through our Cooperative Program giving.

Fred and Casey launched The Fix Chapel in March of 2023. The new church has been growing. Now The Fix Ministry will provide clothes, food, job training and many other helps to people struggling with addiction. Then The Fix Chapel can complete the process of teaching the Bible and making Christian disciples.

Earlier Fred and Casey saw God radically change their own lives and restore them from addiction and hurt. They personally experienced that the only lasting “fix” is Jesus.
