Dr. Thomas West, Senior Pastor of Nashville First Baptist Church, is our next guest. He will be sharing about “The Gospel Way Catechism: Reclaiming an Ancient Tool of Faith Formation for Our Secular Age.”
Dr. West, co-author with Trevin Wax, will discuss why they created this catechism and how it addresses biblical illiteracy and worldview confusion in today’s churches. The Gospel Way Catechism presents 50 essential Christian beliefs in a clear Q&A format, designed to help believers be both formed by biblical truth and counter-formed to identify and challenge secular narratives.
What to expect: Thomas will share for 20-25 minutes, then we’ll open for Q&A.

Before coming to pastor Nashville First Baptist, a 200-year-old church in downtown Nashville, Thomas was the founding pastor of Redeemer Queen’s Park in London, England. He holds an MDiv in Christian Studies and a PhD in Systematic Theology from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. His ministry and research are driven by exploring the intersection of theology, culture, and mission in Western culture.
