Your gifts have helped to support outreach to students through Hawaiian culture workshops.

Hamama Community Church members are followers of Jesus and Hawaiian in practice. As church planter Ikaika Higa and his wife Stacey reach out the community, the Sue Nishikawa Offering for Hawaii Pacific Missions has helped them offer Hawaiian cultural workshops. People come to these workshops each month to learn about Kalo culture and hear about Hamama’s mission and purpose in the community. They have a thriving youth ministry that ministers to over 50 youth from the community. The Sue Nishikawa Offering for Hawaii Pacific Missions has helped provide supplies for their weekly youth nights.

Because there are many families who need financial help in the community they serve, the Sue Nishikawa Offering funds have made it possible for Hamama Community Church to provide turkeys for families during the holidays, Christmas goodies, and school supplies – all in the name of Jesus.

• Pray for Ikaika and Stacey as they serve the community through their work and church.
• Ask God to provide spiritually, physically, and financially.
• Pray for whole households to come to know Jesus together.
• Pray for more hands to join in the work.

And as you pray and as you give, consider how your church can reach the community in culturally relevant ways. This may mean language ministry, ministry to military, or other creative way to reach people for Christ. If you are starting a new ministry to reach people for Christ, you could request funds to enhance and strengthen your mission efforts. Any Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention church can request funds from this offering to strengthen and support the evangelistic and compassion ministries of your church.
