Sunday Highlight: May 24, 2026
Nasa and Caroline Sete are church planters with a heart to reach Polynesians for Christ in a community where many have never heard the Gospel. In June, they moved their family of six from Indiana to Hawaii, trusting God’s call to plant a church among people who share Nasa’s Polynesian heritage.
The transition wasn’t easy moving four children across an ocean, adjusting to island life, and starting from scratch in a new community. But God has been faithful. The move went smoother than expected, and they’ve been overwhelmed by the kindness of their new neighbors.
Before leaving Indiana, Nasa preached his final sermon at Gospel City Church, which sent them out with prayer and support. Now, he’s building relationships on Oahu, seeking the right location to launch their new church, and connecting with local people who need Jesus.
The Polynesian community in Hawaii is large but often unreached. Nasa and Caroline believe God has uniquely positioned them to share the Gospel in a culturally meaningful way.
Pray for the Sete family as they settle in, for open doors in the Polynesian community, and for God’s guidance in planting this new church.
