Sunday Highlight: June 14, 2026
Katy Roberts serves on the policy team at the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) of the Southern Baptist Convention. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Katy has a background in clinical healthcare and public policy.
Her transition to the ERLC came gradually but convictionally, driven by a desire to serve in the public square from a Christ-centered perspective. She now works in Washington, D.C., at the ERLC’s Leland House, just steps from the U.S. Senate.
The ERLC exists to serve Southern Baptist churches by advocating for public policy rooted in biblical truth and by equipping churches to think biblically about cultural and moral issues. For Katy, this work is an extension of worship. She believes we are created to live lives of praise to Christ (Hebrews 13), worshiping the Father in spirit and truth (John 4:23–24).
Her daily mission is to help shape policies that allow believers to live as salt and light in a world that often resists God’s glory. Pray for Katy as she advocates for biblically informed policy solutions and shares the hope of Christ with those she encounters on Capitol Hill.
