Sunday Highlight: October 18, 2026
Sol Rexius is the founding pastor of Generations Church, planted in January 2025 in Eugene, Oregon. He and his wife, Lizzy, have a passion to reach people of all ages, especially college students.
Prayer is central to their ministry. For years before launching the church, they prayed Luke 10:2: “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.”
Sol shared the story of Luke, their first baptism. “Luke’s mom came to his baptism. Afterward, she told us, ‘When I dropped off my son at college, I walked around campus and prayed for him, that he would find friends and meet Jesus. I prayed this Bible verse. It’s easy to miss; it’s Luke chapter 10, verse 2.’”
The Lord of the harvest is listening. While many say this generation is disinterested in the things of God, the Rexius family is seeing life, fruit, and transformation by God’s grace and power.
Supporting the Cooperative Program helps missionaries and church planters reach college students with the Gospel. Pray that God will raise up more laborers in Eugene to join what He is doing.
