Registration begins at 11 am on Monday, May 13 (we’ll eat lunch at noon). The retreat concludes at 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 15.

A fee of $75 includes lodging, food, and books. Send checks made to HPBC to Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention, 2042 Vancouver Drive, Honolulu, HI 96822. 

This will be a time to rest, refresh, be equipped, and fellowship with other pastors.

The retreat is for HPBC lead pastors. (As a lead pastor/elder, you may bring other men who are your associate pastors/elders if you believe they would benefit from this retreat.)

Travel scholarships are available for neighbor island pastors. We will pay for your flight and ensure you have a ride to and from the airport.

What to expect:

  • Worship, equipping, and small group discussion/prayer. We will have four 45-minute teaching sessions with Dr. Ryan Ripee.
  • Two afternoons of rest, renewal, and/or recreation with volleyball, beach, nap, or nine holes of golf at a nearby golf course.
  • Campfire on Tuesday night.
  • Our theme is “Recapturing the Glory of Christ.”

Ryan Rippee

Pastor, Professor, and Seminary President

Ryan is the pastor of Trinity Church of Benicia in Benicia, CA and the current president of The Cornerstone Bible College and Seminary (since 2019). Ryan grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and has a heart to minister to the people here, training up pastors to serve and teach in this unique region. He received a B.A. degree from the University of California at Davis in History (1999), a M.Div. from The Cornerstone Seminary (2007), and a Ph.D. from Southern Seminary with an emphasis in Biblical Spirituality and a minor in Church History (2016). Ryan is the author of Preaching that Exalts Christ: The Pulpit Ministry of Steve Fernandez and That God May Be All in All. After serving in pastoral ministry at Grace Church of Napa Valley in Napa, CA and Calvary Community Church in Brentwood, CA, Ryan planted Trinity Church of Benicia in his home community (in 2022). Ryan enjoys teaching annually at Munster Bible College in Cork, Ireland and is a Ph.D. advisor at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri and Columbia Biblical Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina. He has taught bible conferences in Uganda, Honduras, the Philippines, and Spain. To unwind, Ryan loves training and teaching Brazilian Jui-Jitsu! Ryan and his wife Jennafer have been married since 1995 and have five children.
