The motivation behind Southern Baptist Disaster Relief efforts can be summed up in one phrase: "A cup of cold water in Jesus' name." Southern Baptist Disaster Relief is following the example Jesus established when he fed the 5,000 and the 4,000 and his teachings in the parable of the Good Samaritan and Matthew 25:31-46.

April 14, 2012 - Big Island
August 25, 2012 - Maui
Please be in prayer for our team that is in Japan right now until February 11 at Miyagi Prefecture
They are doing some light construction, including sheetrock, flooring, and some framing. However, it could also include mud out, food distribution, and community clean up.Their goal is to minister to the people of Japan with God's love and compassion, through physical and spiritual help.
