Sunday Highlight: November 21
We’re heading out to the West Coast for our prayer time today so we can pray for Travis and Katy Cunningham. They are two of our North American missionaries our church supports through our Cooperative Program giving.
Travis and Katy grew up in Rancho Cucamonga, which is on the north side of Los Angeles. Travis is the fifth-generation of his family to live there. They worked five years preparing to plant their new church, which they call Story Church. Travis attended seminary and served with churches in Oregon and Texas.
The area where they live is part of Greater Los Angeles, which has more than 13 million people. New churches are needed throughout the area. Disneyland and Hollywood present elaborate dream worlds, but L.A. people need to know the true story of Jesus and the salvation He offers. Travis has developed home groups for study, fellowship and outreach — they also have their own app for members to stay in touch. Let’s pray now for Travis and Katy and their two young children as they share with their home town the best news anybody will ever hear — the Good News!
Thank you for learning more about the ways your church’s gifts through the Cooperative Program are the financial fuel for reaching every person for Jesus Christ in every town, every city, every state, and every nation. Connect the offering plate to the mission field with “52 Sundays” resources.
