The long term rebuild from last year typhoon is underway. We had our first team from California Disaster Relief repair two homes in Kagman and installed a shower at Kagman Community Church for future teams coming in.

This is a great opportunity for DR teams and church men teams to go and show Jesus Christ in a real way. You do not have to be DR trained but I can do a short introduction for your team before you go.

CARE organization in Saipan has set up case work and has funds for all the supplies and some tools for the teams. Airfare funds are also available for ones who will need help with airfare.

Requirements for teams are to have construction skills with roofing framing, sheet metal roof, and concrete block work as well as other construction skills. You will stay at Kagman Community Church; the church has AC and Cots. Pastor Billy Jones and his wife Joy will be your contact in Saipan. Your team will need to rent a car for now and provide for your own meals. Kitchen equipment is at the church from our mass feeding right after the storm

Saipan is a nice small Island with lots of War history and also has some nice resorts. Restaurants on Island are McDonalds (WIFI), Tony Roma’s and several other nice restaurants. WIFI is not at the church and you will need to get a sim card for your phone to work in Saipan.
