Aloha from Seoul, Korea!
My name is Rose Waligora and my husband Jeff “Wally” and I have recently stepped into the awesome joy and privilege to serve as your partnership liaison between the East Asian Peoples Affinity Group (EAPAG) of the International Mission Board (IMB) and the HPBC. Wally and I have been serving with the IMB since 1997, when we were sent to East Asia with a one-year-old baby. That baby is now a 23-year-old married man and we were also blessed with a 21-year-old girl and 17-year-old boy since then. Time has flown by!
As Cluster Leaders with the EAPAG Connections Cluster, we oversee partnership strategies between the SBC churches and conventions, including the HPBC, with our field personnel and mission teams serving on the ground. This means we are your direct link to learning about the darkness amongst the lost peoples and places of East Asia, how you can impact and push back that darkness through your prayers, giving, and preparing to go and send, and to witness God’s amazing work and answers to your prayers.
These are truly interesting and challenging days, but I praise and thank God for the community and support you always have in the body of Christ and especially as women of the HPBC. Even though we may feel that this world has been shaken by protests, politics, and the pandemic, we know that ultimately the Prince of Peace is the Conquering One. May we remember that the Sovereign Lord is still on his throne. The needs of the lost around us are great, but we serve an even greater God who desires to speak peace and healing through us, his willing vessels, to a hurting and lost world. Let’s encourage one another and seek God’s leading that together we may be a blessing to those around us and to the nations! Keep pressing on!
