About the Speaker

Mike Martin
Assistant Executive Director of Business and Finance
This training will be hosted and led by Mike Martin, HPBC Assistant Executive Director for Business and Finance. Mike provides leadership and oversight for the business aspect of HPBC resources. He also serves our churches in the business aspect of ministry. Mike's experience includes serving as a Tax Trainer, Chair of a College Business Department, Assistant Area Manager, Controller, and Business Manager in several different organizations. He is currently an Enrolled Agent (EA) which is the highest professional certification recognized by the IRS in taxation. In 2013, he started Malakina Accounting Services to meet the needs of individuals and small businesses in the areas of accounting and tax preparation focusing on church finance and ministerial taxation. Mike has been an adjunct professor or associate professor at several universities teaching in the areas of leadership, management, entrepreneurship, accounting, and taxation. Mike provides leadership and oversight for the business aspect of HPBC resources. He also serves our churches in the business aspect of ministry.
