Sunday Highlight: March 21
Today we’re going out west to the Rocky Mountains for our prayer time. We’re going to pray for Chris and Libby Phillips, who have planted a new church in the Denver area. Our North American Mission Board is sending many missionaries to Denver because of the spiritual needs there.
Chris and Libby are two of those missionaries we support through our Cooperative Program giving. Their new church is called Journey Point Church and it’s six miles northeast of downtown Denver in the Stapleton area.
This is one of the biggest new housing developments in the country — 75,000 new homes are being built. Most of those houses will be young families with an average of two children each. So we can see their new church is urgently needed.
Chris and Libby are from Tennessee; they have four children. Chris worked in medical sales until the Lord called him into full-time service. They have developed their own app to keep in touch with members.
Let’s pray that Chris and Libby and that new church will help folks in Stapleton to look even higher than the Rockies — all the way to Heaven — as they come in faith to Christ!
Thank you for learning more about the ways your church’s gifts through the Cooperative Program are the financial fuel for reaching every person for Jesus Christ in every town, every city, every state, and every nation. Connect the offering plate to the mission field with “52 Sundays” resources.
