Two years after the devastating Maui fires displaced thousands of families, a pioneering follow-up ministry led by retired couple Pete and Donna Beal systematically contacted all 748 fire survivors over 14 months, sharing the Gospel and providing practical assistance while building lasting church connections. This unprecedented partnership between Hawaii Pacific Baptist Disaster Relief, Send Relief, and local Baptist associations demonstrates a model for extending disaster relief ministry far beyond the typical emergency response phase.
