Sunday Highlight: January 3
Today we want to pray for one of our missionaries serving in Europe. Her name is Amy Williams and she serves in the Republic of North Macedonia. That’s a small country with about two million people, located north of Greece. It was part of Yugoslavia before it broke up. Amy teaches English as a way to meet people and share the gospel. That’s how she met a woman we’ll call Gerta.
Now, Gerta had a hard life. She had been abused and had major health problems. But Amy told her how Jesus loves her and had a plan for her life. Through Bible studies Amy led, Gerta came to understand the gospel and placed her faith in Christ. Later, Gerta helped lead her father to Christ. When Gerta was ill in a hospital, she told others what wonderful changes Jesus had brought to her life.
This wonderful outcome was possible because our church supports our International Mission Board and our missionary, Amy Williams, through our Cooperative Program giving. Let’s ask God to let Amy change many more lives in Macedonia as she tells people about Jesus. And let’s ask Him that Gerta can grow in her Christian faith.
Thank you for learning more about the ways your church’s gifts through the Cooperative Program are the financial fuel for reaching every person for Jesus Christ in every town, every city, every state, and every nation. Connect the offering plate to the mission field with “52 Sundays” resources.
