Sunday Highlight: June 28, 2026

Let’s pray for Katee Sheppard, an International Mission Board missionary serving in West Africa. 

Katee trains local believers to share the Gospel using a simple but powerful tool—rocks. Each rock represents a Bible story, from Creation to Revelation. As church members placed one rock after another, they shared 22 stories that tell the full message of God’s redemption.

Katee says, “Teaching believers to share the Gospel through storytelling is life-changing. It helps them turn everyday conversations into spiritual ones.” 

For people who learn best through oral methods or don’t have a Bible in their language, this approach makes the Gospel easy to remember and share. After the training, the church took their new skills into the community. Five people made professions of faith.

Now, the church is praying for continued training, growth among new believers, and more ministry partners to join the work in West Africa. With five members fully trained, Katee has passed the baton, empowering local leaders to carry the mission forward.

Let’s lift up Katee and the West African church, asking God to bless their efforts and use their stories to bring many to faith in Christ.
