Sunday Highlight: May 3, 2026
David and Sara Gaskins, along with their young children, are planting Mosaic Church in Provo, Utah, home to Brigham Young University. David calls this location the “heartbeat and hub” of the worldwide Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
“Planting a church here is obviously a tall order,” David said. “But we love Mormons and want them to believe in the real Jesus. That’s why we came.”
Four years after launching, Mosaic Church has grown from 24 people to about 120 attending Sunday services. Many are young, former Mormons who have made professions of faith and followed Christ in baptism—often becoming the first believers in generations of their families. Leaving the Mormon Church can mean losing jobs and being shunned by loved ones, but these new believers are standing firm in their faith.
Your prayers and giving support churches in Provo to hear and see the real Jesus. Pray this week that God will strengthen David and Sara’s marriage and family as they serve faithfully in a spiritually challenging place.
