Sunday Highlight: April 26, 2026
Experienced church planters, Mike and Monica Brennan, moved from Wyoming to Hawaii with a unique mission. In addition to planting a church, they are fighting one of the darkest crimes in our world: human trafficking.
The Brennans operate Hibiscus Haven, a safe house for women rescued from sex trafficking. These women have endured deep trauma, and healing takes time, care, and most importantly, the love of Jesus.
Hibiscus Haven is more than a place to stay—it’s a place where broken women discover they are image bearers of Christ. The Brennans provide Christian counseling tailored for those suffering from severe trauma and PTSD.
While caring for these women, Mike and Monica are also planting a church in their community. They believe lasting change comes through the Gospel and want to create a place where survivors and locals alike can find hope in Jesus.
Through the Cooperative Program, our church helps fund this vital ministry. Pray for the safety of Mike and Monica, healing for the women in their care, and for their church to become a beacon of hope.
