1. Call to Prayer: Mike and Catherine Inouye, Kaunakakai Baptist Church have requested prayer on behalf of their daughter, Stacy Alexander in Tennessee. Mike received the call yesterday, January 25, that the tumor on Stacy’s esophagus was malignant and the cancer has spread to the liver and lymph nodes. Catherine has arrived in Tennessee and Mike will travel this weekend. Please join Mike and Catherine in this call to prayer for their daughter Stacy, her husband, Walt and their 8 children—ages 1-14. 2. Ministers in the News in January

a. Denver Copeland, began serving as Pastor of Waikoloa Baptist Church on January 1, 2012. An installation service was held on January 22, to formally celebrate his ministry assignment. b. Sterling Lee, began serving as Pastor of First Baptist Church of Pearl City on January 1, 2012: An Installation service is scheduled for January 29. Dinner at 5:00 pm and installation at 7:00 pm. c. Jeremy Kaneshiro, began serving as Pastor of Discipleship at Valley Isle Fellowship, Maui, on January 22, 2012. Jeremy was previously Minister of Youth at the Waikoloa Baptist Church, Hawaii. d. Korey Buchanek resigned as pastor of the Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, Kailua-Kona effective January 22, 2012. 3. Churches in the News

a. Pali View Baptist Church, Kaneohe, Hawaii celebrated 60 years of ministry in their community on January 22. Reflections of God’s activity through the years provided opportunity for special moments of worship. Steve Irvin serves as pastor of the Church. b. Antioch Baptist Church of Hawaii, 98-612 Moanalua Loop, Aiea will be celebrating their Grand Opening and building dedication on February 5 at 4:00 pm. Pastor Dong Shik Woo has served this congregation for over 25 years. The Church purchased the Salvation Army building in June, 2011 and have been involved in renovation and upgrades for the past six months. The greater Baptist family is invited to participate in this special celebration and dedication of their new building. c. The West Oahu Community Church, 4236 Bougainville Avenue, Kapolei will be launching public worship on February 12 at 5:00 pm. David Hockney is the church planting pastor and is busy preparing for the launch date. Each weekend prior to launch there are activities introducing the church to the community. If you would like to assist in these pre-launch servant Evangelism Ministry Projects contact David. Activities include: January 21st – Microwave Popcorn Giveaway; January 28th – Dollar Drop at the Sports Authority parking lot and stores nearby; other events on other days and on February 11th prayer walking.
