1. Sad News: Pablito Paragua passed away in the Philippines as a result of an accident on Sunday, November 27.  Pablito is the father of Josie Ramones, wife of pastor Marino at the Pahala Baptist Mission, Hawaii.   Marino and Josie will be traveling to the Philippines on Friday, December 2.  The memorial service will be held on December 7 at Pamplona, Cagayan.    Keep Josie and the family in your prayers and thoughts during these difficult days.   You can contact Marino and Josie at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 2. Celebration News—births among ministers families:

a.Caleb Kaleo Marburger was born on October 19 on Maui.  Caleb is excelling in communicating his love to his  parents.   Caleb is the son of Josh and Nicole Marburger, Youth Ministries at the Pukalani Baptist Church, Maui.  The greater Baptist family is invited to celebrate with Josh and Nicole as they celebrate Caleb’s six week anniversary of birth.  You may connect with Josh and Nicole at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 3. Hawaii Kai Church Annual Christmas Cookie Walk & Craft Sale: The annual Christmas Cookie event is this Saturday, December 3, 9:00 am - 12:00 noon.  Christmas Candy and Crafts are available.  There are also creative impressive gift baskets, cookie plates and grab bags for families, co-workers and teachers.   The greater Baptist family is invited to share in this time of festivities.   You will want to arrive early, since the specialty items go quickly.   100 % of the proceeds goes to missions.   For more information contact:  Sue Fujimoto, 808-395-4248 and Cindy Geiger, 808-395-3513.  

4. Spring! Retreat and WMU Annual Meeting: News via Alicia Kaneshiro,   “Information about the Spring! 5. New HPBC Website will launch today, December 1, 2011. The new Convention website will launch at noon, Hawaii time, December 1-- www.hpbaptist.net.    We anticipate it will take the weekend to work out the details of transitioning from the old site to the new site.   Our hope is that the new site will be a valued resource for strengthening churches across the Pacific.  Your input will be helpful as we populate each page with useful and helpful information.

With the new website comes new email addresses for the staff.   The new addresses will be uniform in presentation.  It is the first name of staff followed by hpbaptist.net.   Sample: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
