Join us for 2 1/2 days at the Pu’u Kahea Conference Center in Waianae for HPBC pastors.
Pu’u Kahea is a Hawaiian word that can be translated to “Hill of Calling.” We are inviting men who are living out their calling as pastors to retreat, refresh, and re-create. We hope that God will use this time away to refresh your heart for life and ministry.
Starts on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 1:30pm
Ends on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 10:30am
Your Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention is sponsoring this event. It is funded by your church’s gifts to the Cooperative Program. There is NO COST for the senior pastor or other senior staff designated by senior pastor of an HPBC church. You will have air-conditioned accommodations. We will provide meals, drinks, and snacks during the retreat. We also offer partial travel assistance for neighbor island senior pastors (more info below).
You will have the opportunity to:
Eat with and fellowship with other pastors.
Sit alone and read or sit with guys and play board games.
Take a walk or run.
Stop and pray with another pastor.
Play a round of golf, hike, read a book or other activities you choose.
Hear a simple devotional from Chris Martin or Craig Webb before our meals.
Have the opportunity one evening to gather and ask anything you want from Chris Martin, Craig Webb, Mike Martin, and our HPBC Church Planting team.
We are not planning any formal teaching or preaching.
NEIGHBOR ISLAND PASTORS. We have travel scholarships available to help you fly in. If you allow us to purchase your tickets and make your flight arrangements through our HPBC corporate account, you will have 2 free checked bags (bring your golf clubs!). We are asking Neighbor Island pastors to pay $50, and we will cover the rest of the flight cost. We will also arrange to pick you up from the airport if you are coming on Sunday evening or Monday morning. We will take you back to the airport if you are leaving on Wednesday as well. Neighbor Island pastors have the option to stay at Pu’u Kahea on Sunday evening and can get meals on their own at nearby restaurants Sunday evening and Monday morning.
